Brittney "24" Kupfner

Brittney Lee Kupfner

Britt as she liked to be called came into this world on March 28, 1984.  She was the first child of Tim and Kari Kupfner.  She was followed by her brothers Josh in 1986 and Timmy in 1990.  She attended Sacred Heart of Jesus School and graduated from the 8th grade.  Brittney cared very deeply about Sacred Heart and in fact when she was in the 8th grade she had at least one relative in each grade at the school.  She followed up SHJ by attending Boulder High School.  During her time there she started on the varsity basketball team and loved being a teenager!  Britt loved to spend time with her family and friends and especially her grandmother, Bonnie.  Be assured that anywhere Britt went there was always a younger cousin or a little brother in tow.  We lost Britt very suddenly on August 20, 2001.  She was only seventeen.  Brittney suffered from a disease known as Factor V.

Bertney as we all called her loved the “No Slam” tournament.  She loved the fact that all of her family and friends were able to get together and play a game that she loved and to raise money for the school that her great-grand mother, grandmother, father, and she attended.  I am sure that Britt had hoped that her children too someday would attend SHJ.

After losing Britt the “No Slam” staff decided that it was only fitting to dedicate this wonderful tournament to such a great person and an angel above. Britt wore number “24” for Boulder High and her retired jersey still hangs in the “Pitt” today.

Thanks
